Proverbs has much to say about receiving feedback, criticism and rebuke
12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.
13:1 A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke.
27:5-9
5 Better is open rebuke
than hidden love.
6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted,
but an enemy multiplies kisses.
7 He who is full loathes honey,
but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet.
8 Like a bird that strays from its nest
is a man who strays from his home.
9 Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart,
and the pleasantness of one’s friend springs from his earnest counsel.
9:7 “Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult;
whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse.
8 Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you;
rebuke a wise man and he will love you.
9 Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still;
teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.
