Prayer for Safety

Dear God, Yet more disasters around the world…

I want pray for safety of the people who remain and for comfort of those who grieve. I pray that the thousands of affected people who do not know You as the Living God, and do not know Jesus as their Savior, will see a glimpse of Your power and be drawn to Your loving arms. I pray for their souls, that they will come to know You; that their lives and their future will be changed for good…and that You will be glorified.

We pray that there will be no great devastation. And I praise You, God, who has the power to change it all. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer

Dear God, Thank You so much for good friends. Throughout my life, I’ve had friends; some were close, some more like acquaintances; most have been good; all have taught me lessons and served a purpose for a season in life. But I especially want to thank You for enduring friendships that pass the test of time and trial; those special few who are so close at heart and always with me in spirit. Bless them, dear God. I pray that You will protect them, give them good health, keep them close to You spiritually and let them feel Your presence, meet their special needs right now, anoint and bless their lives and meet their every need. Help me to know when they need me. Help me to always know what to do and say…or what not to do or say. I want to be as faithful and true a friend to them as they are to me. And thank You God, for Jesus, that friend that sticks closer than a brother. In His name I pray, amen.

Prayer

Dear God, I pray that the fruit of the Spirit will be evident in my life and that as I live in the Spirit, I will also walk in the Spirit. Your Word tells me that “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” and that they that “are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts” (Galatians 6:22-24). Lord, let me not desire vain glory, provoking or envying another (Galatians 6:26), but be led by the Spirit in all I think, say, and do. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Prayer  (based on Psalm 24)

Dear Lord, You are the King of glory, strong and mighty, Lord Almighty. I lift up my head and turn my face toward heaven, where You sit upon the throne. I lift my hands and my voice in praise to You. I thank You for giving me clean hands and a pure heart. I thank You for Your blessing. The earth is Yours, and everything in it, and all who live in it, for You founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters. I worship You and welcome Your glorious reign. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer – Ephesians 3:16-19

16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
